Compliance & Regulations

What it is

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records, applying to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. FERPA regulations require such institutions to:

  • Provide students and their parents with access to their educational data
  • Adhere to a privacy policy with regards to releasing such data
