CloudLock Closes Q1 2015 with 15th Consecutive Record Quarter of Revenue Growth

Cloud Security Fabric provider grows 50 percent in revenue over same quarter last year

June 9, 2015 - Waltham, MA - CloudLock, the leading cloud security provider, today announced their 15th consecutive quarter of record revenue growth and general availability of the CloudLock Enterprise API. In Q1 2015, CloudLock grew 50 percent in revenue over the same quarter last year. The company experienced tremendous hiring growth in Q1, bringing on 28 new employees across its Waltham, San Francisco and Tel Aviv, Israel locations, an increase of 35 percent. Additionally, CloudLock announced the hiring of Matt Maloney as vice president of global sales, bringing more than 20 years of experience managing and growing sales teams.

Alliances & Partnerships
Expanding the CloudLock Security Fabric, CloudLock made major partner announcements with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft and Dropbox.

“Companies of all sizes are embracing Dropbox to collaborate and get work done while securely using their favorite applications,” said George O’Brien, product manager at Dropbox. “By integrating with CloudLock’s Security Fabric, Dropbox for Business now gives customers even more in-depth monitoring to provide complete visibility into their Dropbox environment.”

CloudLock also joined the ServiceMax marketplace to help enforce data compliance. The CloudLock Security Fabric will serve as a resource for field service organizations that seek to leverage the business benefits of the cloud while maintaining data compliance and confidence in security controls.

Technology Innovation
CloudLock made significant strides in expanding its Cloud Cybersecurity offering with expanded support for existing and new cloud applications in Q1 and early Q2. At Knowledge ‘15, CloudLock announced the launch and certification of its integration with ServiceNow.

At the RSA Conference 2015, the company released a major expansion of its cloud security solutions for Salesforce with the introduction of CloudLock for, CloudLock for Salesforce Community Cloud, CloudLock Selective Encryption for Salesforce, CloudLock Apps Firewall for Salesforce, and the free solution, CloudLock Event Monitoring Viewer, giving security professionals and internal auditors insight into Salesforce event log files.

Additionally, CloudLock announced CloudLock for Office 365. The offering leverages the Office 365 Management Activity API, in combination with existing Sharepoint Online APIs, to provide unique capabilities around user behavior analytics, cloud data protection and governance, and controlling Shadow IT applications for Office 365 components including Microsoft OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online.

CloudLock pioneered the API-first approach in the Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) market. In a March 2015 report, one of Gartner’s recommendations is to “favor CASB vendors that support the API mode of access. It has the lightest touch on end users, and, therefore, a greater chance of business acceptance.”1 CloudLock deploys in less than five minutes without requiring any hardware, software, agents or network configurations and has zero impact on the end-user experience.

Industry Recognition and Thought Leadership
CloudLock was on fire in the first quarter, either winning or receiving nominations for 12 awards including the Cybersecurity 500 Security Companies to Watch in 2015, BIG Innovation Award winner as well as a finalist for the 11th Annual 2015 Global Excellence Awards in seven categories.

On the analyst front, CloudLock was mentioned in a key Forrester Report this March titled, Market Overview: Cloud Data Protection Solutions, detailing findings such as why cloud data protection (CDP) is a mandatory security control if you use the cloud, key benefits of Implementing CDP Solutions, and provides profiles of 17 CDP vendors, including CloudLock.

The CloudLock Blog was awarded one of the Top 50 Cloud Security Blogs by GetVoIP. In addition, CloudLock released the results of an independent survey, seeking to understand the perception of IT security policies related to the cloud and other technologies, and whether policies help or hinder day-to-day productivity, collaboration and innovation.
