This Privacy Policy describes our commitment to customer privacy. Generally, you can browse through our Website without giving us any information about yourself. When we do need your personal information to provide services that you request or when you choose to provide us with your personal information, this Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use your personal information.
Your use of the CloudLock Service and Website is conditioned upon acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy by you, the user of the Website and/or CloudLock Service (“you” or “User”). This Privacy Policy lists our current policies, but, as noted below, this Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time at our discretion. 1. Data Collection
Portions of this Website contain functions for collecting your personal information including your name and email address as well as your access history on this Website. We may also collect and track non-personally identifiable information about you, including but not limited to your IP address, the type of browser you use, and the website you visited before our Website.
If you register to use the CloudLock Service or express interest in obtaining additional information, we require you to give us your contact information, such as your name, company name, address, and e-mail address. We may also ask for additional personal information, such as title, phone number, department name or additional company information, such as annual revenues, number of employees, or industry. You can opt out of providing this additional information by not entering it when asked.
The CloudLock Service works without opening or reading the content of documents or files in your Google Docs application. The CloudLock Service only collects document and user meta-data such as document names, collaborators, permissions, attributes, etc. When you search or view documents through the CloudLock Service, CloudLock uses Google services to display the content of documents and does not read or store any of the content.
2. Use and Disclosure of Information
CloudLock uses the information that we collect to set up, administer and provide the CloudLock Service for organizations. We may also use the information to contact you to further discuss your interest in our company and the CloudLock Service, to send information regarding our company or partners, such as promotions and events, and to respond to your requests for information. We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as payment processor Google Checkout or offering customer service through our live chat service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
Except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, your email address and personal information will not be distributed or shared with any third parties other than CloudLock employees, consultants and representatives.
With your prior express permission, CloudLock may log in to your account solely to resolve a problem or support issue. In this case, the CloudLock personnel investigating the problem would have the same access and abilities within CloudLock that you have when you are logged in to CloudLock; however, the CloudLock personnel would not be able to modify documents and, except in “privileged view”, would not be able to view documents. CloudLock may also view your account information and usage (but not document content) to investigate a suspected violation of the Terms of Service.
CloudLock uses and logs information gathered from your web browser or device, such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing history, to help analyze and diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Website in order to constantly improve the quality of the CloudLock Service.
CloudLock collects and stores document and user meta-data to provide the CloudLock service to you. CloudLock also aggregates anonymized user data, including document and user meta-data, usage and volume statistical information, and other statistics (but not contact information) from our visitors and Users and may provide such anonymous aggregated information to third parties.
In addition to the above, CloudLock may in any event use and disclose information disclosed to it or collected by it through the Website to the extent required by any law, subpoena, legal process, court, judicial, regulatory or governmental authority, or if in CloudLock’s reasonable discretion use or disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud or any threat to the safety of any individual, to protect CloudLock’s legal rights or to protect the rights of third parties. In the event that CloudLock is involved in a merger, reorganization, dissolution, sale of business or assets or similar event, information disclosed to or collected by CloudLock in connection with this Website and the CloudLock Service may be transferred to CloudLock’s successor, or to the purchaser of such assets, as applicable.

CloudLock may periodically send you information regarding CloudLock and our products and services. If you do not wish to continue receiving such information, please contact us at unsubscribe@cloudlock.com, or simply reply to an email from CloudLock and type “REMOVE” in the subject line.

4. Tracking Technologies
CloudLock collects information about you using cookies (data that we store on your hard drive or device) that allows us to recognize you when you revisit our Website or the CloudLock Service and to remember certain information about you, such as your contact information. Your browser contains settings to limit or reject cookies. However, if you choose to limit or reject cookies, you may not be able to use some of the features in the CloudLock Service.
The use of cookies by our tracking utility company and service providers is not covered by our privacy statement. We do not have access or control over these cookies. Our tracking utility company and service providers use session ID cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site.
We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
5. Security

The CloudLock Service uses secured and encrypted protocols (HTTPS) for all communications. Information collected on the CloudLock Website is not encrypted during transmission.
The CloudLock Service supports single sign-on using Open ID, which allows for simplified, central access management to the CloudLock Service, through the Google Apps administrative panel, and directly via URL.
As a Google Marketplace application, CloudLock’s process of granting privileges to access and use the domain’s data is secure, and is handled by Google. IT Administrators can remove or disable the CloudLock Service at any time from the Google Apps domain administrator interface.
CloudLock takes security very seriously. All company employees are contractually obligated to safeguard CloudLock and User data under confidentiality and privacy agreements. Access to CloudLock production systems is restricted to authorized CloudLock team members.
The CloudLock Service runs on Google App Engine, Google’s web application hosting environment. An application hosted on Google App Engine runs on the same infrastructure that powers other Google applications such as Google Apps which is SAS 70 Type II and FISMA certified. The same security, privacy and data protection policies you enjoy with Google Apps applies to all App Engine applications. Running on Google App Engine allows the CloudLock Service to keep User data within Google’s infrastructure.
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Please contact us if you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
6. Blogs and other Forums on CloudLock.com
If you use a CloudLock blog, chat room, or other type of posting page, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other Users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums, or the use of such information by any third party.
7. Widgets
Our Web site includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button (and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our site). These Features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

CloudLock is located in the United States and is subject to the applicable state and federal laws of the United States. If you choose to access the Website, you consent to the use and disclosure of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and subject to such laws.
CloudLock may, alone or in collaboration with other Safe Harbor-certified organizations, store and process personal information in the United States, the European Union or Switzerland.
