Portions of this Website contain functions for collecting your personal information including your name and email address as well as your access history on this Website. We may also collect and track non-personally identifiable information about you, including but not limited to your IP address, the type of browser you use, and the website you visited before our Website.
If you register to use the CloudLock Service or express interest in obtaining additional information, we require you to give us your contact information, such as your name, company name, address, and e-mail address. We may also ask for additional personal information, such as title, phone number, department name or additional company information, such as annual revenues, number of employees, or industry. You can opt out of providing this additional information by not entering it when asked.
The CloudLock Service works without opening or reading the content of documents or files in your Google Docs application. The CloudLock Service only collects document and user meta-data such as document names, collaborators, permissions, attributes, etc. When you search or view documents through the CloudLock Service, CloudLock uses Google services to display the content of documents and does not read or store any of the content.
2. Use and Disclosure of Information
CloudLock uses the information that we collect to set up, administer and provide the CloudLock Service for organizations. We may also use the information to contact you to further discuss your interest in our company and the CloudLock Service, to send information regarding our company or partners, such as promotions and events, and to respond to your requests for information. We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as payment processor Google Checkout or offering customer service through our live chat service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
With your prior express permission, CloudLock may log in to your account solely to resolve a problem or support issue. In this case, the CloudLock personnel investigating the problem would have the same access and abilities within CloudLock that you have when you are logged in to CloudLock; however, the CloudLock personnel would not be able to modify documents and, except in “privileged view”, would not be able to view documents. CloudLock may also view your account information and usage (but not document content) to investigate a suspected violation of the Terms of Service.
CloudLock uses and logs information gathered from your web browser or device, such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing history, to help analyze and diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Website in order to constantly improve the quality of the CloudLock Service.
CloudLock collects and stores document and user meta-data to provide the CloudLock service to you. CloudLock also aggregates anonymized user data, including document and user meta-data, usage and volume statistical information, and other statistics (but not contact information) from our visitors and Users and may provide such anonymous aggregated information to third parties.
In addition to the above, CloudLock may in any event use and disclose information disclosed to it or collected by it through the Website to the extent required by any law, subpoena, legal process, court, judicial, regulatory or governmental authority, or if in CloudLock’s reasonable discretion use or disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud or any threat to the safety of any individual, to protect CloudLock’s legal rights or to protect the rights of third parties. In the event that CloudLock is involved in a merger, reorganization, dissolution, sale of business or assets or similar event, information disclosed to or collected by CloudLock in connection with this Website and the CloudLock Service may be transferred to CloudLock’s successor, or to the purchaser of such assets, as applicable.

We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
Our Website has security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the Data under our control. However, you should be aware that it is impossible to guarantee absolute security with respect to information sent through the Internet.
The CloudLock Service uses secured and encrypted protocols (HTTPS) for all communications. Information collected on the CloudLock Website is not encrypted during transmission.
The CloudLock Service supports single sign-on using Open ID, which allows for simplified, central access management to the CloudLock Service, through the Google Apps administrative panel, and directly via URL.
As a Google Marketplace application, CloudLock’s process of granting privileges to access and use the domain’s data is secure, and is handled by Google. IT Administrators can remove or disable the CloudLock Service at any time from the Google Apps domain administrator interface.
CloudLock takes security very seriously. All company employees are contractually obligated to safeguard CloudLock and User data under confidentiality and privacy agreements. Access to CloudLock production systems is restricted to authorized CloudLock team members.
The CloudLock Service runs on Google App Engine, Google’s web application hosting environment. The same security, privacy and data protection policies you enjoy with Google Apps applies to all App Engine applications. Running on Google App Engine allows the CloudLock Service to keep User data within Google’s infrastructure.
